We aim to provide the advice people need for the problems they face and improve the policies and practices that affect people’s lives.

We provide free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone on their rights and responsibilities. We value diversity, promote equality and challenge discrimination.

We are an independent charity, and a member of the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux.
In 2015/16 we directly helped over 8,000 people in the town with more than 19,400 problems, brought over £2.8 million in to their pockets, and decreased the stress and anxiety levels of our clients by an average of 34%.
